Jake "Juice Box" Ott
Jake Ott aka the "Juice Box" finished out a shortened 2011 season with a 10th place position amongst some of the most talanted drivers that have ever competed in the Super Stock Division on Delaware Speedway's infamous 1/2 mile.
Jake's third season at Delaware Speedway was not without some hurdles to jump, ultimately affecting his points position for the year. The team had to contend with a shortened season having missed the first three races of the year. Jake's Electric Banana also suffered some serious damage after a crash into the front inside wall caused by a broken axle.
"With our commitment to run the CRA series and that plan falling apart we were left with a serious cash flow problem" noted Jim Ott Crew chief and car owner. Fellow competitors J.R. Fitzpatrick and Matt Lake owner of London Drive Systems stepped up to plate and helped out with gears and tires to get Jake's ride back on the track. London Drive Systems has always been there to help out with our program with axles. gears, and driveshafts. This is a pretty amazing approach for a competitor to help another competitor. The JWO Racing team cannot begin to thank these guys enough for the helping hand they gave us. With a few top five finishes we were able to purchase tires to keep the season rolling on good rubber.
Again Mackay Advanced Energies stepped up to help with the Super Stock program even after the investment in the failed CRA team. A contribution by Great Lakes Combustion our previous sponsor also helped the team get into the points and payout fund.
